We are getting closer!!! Kissed our beautiful and loving daughters bye and cried when we drove away. We made it to Paris - on to Kiev tomorrow! Thank you for your prayers we love you all!
I am confident we don't know you but just for clarification. As with most flights to the Ukraine the Radzinskis had a short layover in Paris. All of us who donated money are happy to see them out of the airport trying to enjoy their very short (hours long) time in Paris, a city they will probably not make it back to.
We certainly wish you the best in your life endeavors.
The ability for families like the Radzinskis, who already have children at home, to be able to facilitate an adoption like this one absolutely REQUIRES the help of an agency. Others have accomplished it for less by doing it independently, but it requires months of being away from home and can become a real problem if issues arise that were unexpected. The agency is worth their weight in gold because of their knowledge and experience with adoptions in this specific country.
I also know for a fact that the Radzinskis put in all their savings and have made other financial decisions that impact their family specifically to be able to make this adoption possible. Extended family members have also made similar sacrifices to help them accomplish this goal.
As far as "pocketing the tax credit", remember that this family has, by adopting these boys, have promised to take on not only the daily expenses of raising them, but will also help these boys with their college expenses, weddings, children. The idea that they are somehow looking for "income" by adopting these children is ludicrous.
I'm sorry you have had some negative experience that causes you to desire to hurt this sweet family, but rest assured that they will not only be giving their all to these children, they will be making lifelong sacrifices for them. Anyone who has contributed to their funds has done so willingly and with a desire to help these boys have a better life than they could ever hope for in Ukraine as orphans. None expect compensation and all recognize that the harder thing is to take on two more children who will require daily, even hourly, help and support for decades to come.
Becky and Kevin, I'm so happy you're there. I love you both and can't wait to read about your joyous reunion with your sons!
Whatever was written has been taken down, but I can tell it wasn't a nice comment. How could anyone say or think something negative about this adoption? Becky and Kevin, you are amazing people and I'm so happy that you are giving these two boys the chance to have a loving family who cares about them, which is obvious you do from all that you have sacrificed. Good luck in your travels! Удачи! :)
